This coffee originates from La Unión, Nariño, Colombia, cultivated by Rubí Esperanza Urbano. Harvested with strict ripeness criteria, the cherries undergo meticulous hand sorting after floating to remove defects. Following a 30-hour underwater fermentation, they are pulped, gently washed, and dried under controlled temperatures until reaching optimal moisture levels.
This microlot features the Caturra variety, a natural mutation of Red Bourbon that first emerged in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Known for its improved yields and resilience compared to Bourbon, Caturra offers a refined cup with bright notes of apple, green tea, and lemongrass. Carefully cultivated and processed, this lot showcases the delicate complexity of Nariño’s high-altitude terroir, delivering a vibrant and distinctive coffee experience.
