Hector Saavedra leads with passion and purpose at his farm, Callayuc, in the highlands of Cajamarca, Peru. Raised in a coffee-growing family, Hector now grows exceptional Yellow Caturra and coordinates a group of 10 farming families who share his commitment to quality and sustainability.
This lot was hand-picked, fully washed to remove all mucilage, and sun-dried for 15 days on concrete patios. With support from local associations, Hector is also transforming his farm into an agritourism destination—bringing people closer to the world of specialty coffee. In the cup, expect bright notes of blackberry, rockmelon, and white sugar.
