This coffee originates from selected lots from smallholder farmers in the Huila region of Colombia. Each lot is cupped and analysed separately to assess quality, ensuring only the highest quality beans are used for this blend. The beans are then blended and milled before being transported to the local Descafecol plant in Manizales.
Descafecol uses mountain water and ethyl acetate derived entirely from local sugarcane production to gently extract the caffeine while retaining the delicious characteristics of the green coffee and adding a touch of extra sweetness. The result is a sweet and complex, delicious decaf coffee.
