Nestled in Sidamo’s Bensa zone, the Bona Zuria washing station is perched at 2,000 to 2,330 metres above sea level. This region rivals the famed Yirgacheffe for its bright, complex cup profiles. Coffee cultivation here is relatively young, with landrace varieties intercropped alongside food crops, fostering biodiversity and soil health through organic practices.
Ripe cherries are handpicked and meticulously processed. After fermentation to develop complexity, the beans are washed and dried on raised beds for even moisture control and a clean finish. The result is a vibrant coffee with floral and citrus notes, showcasing the unique qualities of Sidamo’s microclimates and its dedicated farmers.
