Mr Bekele Gemeda’s dedication shows in this rare single-producer lot from Worka, Yirgacheffe. Farming between 1,780 and 2,100 metres, he and his family cultivate heirloom Ethiopian varieties across 9.5 hectares. Coffee is their livelihood and a shared effort among his children and two married sons who work the land beside him.
In a region where coffees are often blended, this lot was kept separate for its exceptional quality. The result is a washed Grade 1 Yirgacheffe with notes of jammy peach, stone fruit, mellow caramel and a clean, juicy acidity — a bright, fruit-forward cup that captures his care and patience in every harvest.
